You can stop zesting your own fruit…THIS STUFF IS FRESH!
Our grapefruit peel is used in an award-winning IPA!
Our high-quality, fresh grapefruit peel is excellent for use in Craft Beers, hot teas, baking recipes, as well as with marinades, vegetables, chicken, dressings, seafood and rice.
NCI citrus peels are used by well-known craft beer, tea, and food companies across the United States and Canada, and are prized for their fresh citrus fragrance and flavor.
Our high-quality peel comes from grapefruits picked at the peak of ripeness from orchards in Florida.
After the fruits are squeezed for their juices, the remaining portion of the peel is transported immediately to our manufacturer's facility, where it is minced and dried.
Because our peel is picked at the peak of ripeness, and transferred to our manufacturer directly after juicing our peel contains a highly fragrant and potent citrus flavor.
Grapefruit peel is often used to enhance other flavors in beer, cakes, pies, biscotti, gravies, cheesecake, cookies, spice rubs, baked goods, dressings, vinaigrettes and marinades; Grapefruit Peel can be added to rice for extra flavor, or used to spice up hot or iced teas. Like its relatives, the orange, lemon, lime and kumquat, cut Grapefruit Peel is a rich source of Vitamin C and antioxidant nutrients.
Grapefruit Peel is also a rich source of pectin, which is used in the making of jams and other fruit preserves.
Grapefruit Peel derived from the pink and red varieties are particularly rich in the antioxidant known as lycopene, which is also found in tomatoes as well as other types of bulk organic herbs.
